From the 22 till 28 of February 2010

It’s that time of year again! From the 22th to the 28th of February 2010, the Masters Worldcup “Islas Canarias 2010” takes place in Gran Canaria.

Pro´s as well as semi-professionals from all over the world are going to take the 3 stages.
The winners will be classified by age, category and stage.

First stage:
23th of February 2010: individual time-trial over a 12 km distance in the plain of Vecindario.

Second stage:
25th of February 2010: individual mountain time-trial over an 8 km distance in the “Barranco de Guayadeque”.

Third stage:
Neutralized start in Maspalomas, direction Mogán. Running start in Taurito, passing the towns Mogán, Cruz de San Antonio, Barranquillo Andrés, Cercardos de Espino, finish line in Maspalomas. 65 km in total.  

The categories: Master and Cicloturistas:
Till 30 years,
31 till 35,
36 till 40,
41 till 45,
46 till 50,
51 till 55,
56 till 60,
60 till 65,
+ 65

Women:
Till 30 years,
31 till 40,
41 till 50,
+

Time measurement will be effected through the event organization. The point allocation for each stage is as follows: 26 points for the winner, 24 points for the second placed, 23 points for the third one, and – for the fourth place on, respectively 1 point less till position 25 (achieves 1 point).

For the overall standings the points of each stage will be accumulate. In the case of a tie, the positioning within the single stages will be considered.

All participants will obtain a Certification of Attendance, the first three placed participants a cup.
Service cars within the races are not allowed.

Minimum age:18 years. Within parental company: 17 years.

It is as well possible to only take part at singles stages. Registration fee amounts to 30€ per stage, bookable through registration form, through internet at: www.sportcanarias.com  or directly on site at the Office of EXPOMELONERAS (congress and trade fair Palace).

Opening hours of the Office:

Sunday, 21th of February, from 6 till 9 pm
Monday, 22th February, from 5 till 9 pm
Wednesday 24th , Thursday 25th and Friday, the 26th of February 2010 from 6 till 9 pm.
